BOARDING

Not only for times of vacation, but during family illness,
hospitalizations, relatives coming to town (perhaps they are allergic to pets!), home improvements, open house showings, moving days, and even hurricane times (we are inland and on high and dry land-we can accommodate a large number of animals if crated when necessary during emergency times.) See left panel for reservations and requirements.

OUR FACILITIES  We provide a uniquely designed state of the art building that created totally separated areas for boarding dogs, cats, birds, exotics, and even pot-bellied pigs! (please no poisonous reptiles or tarantulas!) 

DOG BOARDING The dog areas consist of indoor/outdoor runs that are spacious, bright and cheery, and climate controlled. The dogs have access to their outdoor patios throughout the daytime hours. All runs have solid partitions between pets for safety, sanitation, and privacy purposes. At no extra cost, dogs are taken outside 2-3 times a day and exercised off leash in spacious, secure grassy fenced areas on an individual basis, while still able to socialize visually with other canines in adjoining exercise yards. Dogs have clean comfortable bedding provided to them for their sleeping pleasure, and you may bring a few toys and additional items to make them comfortable. There is easy listening or jazz or classical music played for them on a 24 hour basis to soothe and comfort them.

INSERT ALBUM So special, that their kitty condos consist of two rooms, away from the barking dogs. Their rooms are airy and sunny with a picture window to view the birds outside!  Their 3 tier apartments offer space for lounging, dining, and sleeping needs. Playtime consists of exercising within the two rooms, with fun climbing stations and a colorful COVERED fish tank for their enjoyment. We offer our feline guests clean fresh litter pans daily, soft bedding to cuddle up to, and a premium dry food mixed with a little canned food (or you can bring your cat's favorite diet to have during their stay.)  Our kitty condos have room for two housemates.

For the discriminating small dog (under 40 pounds) or cat boarder we offer plush home-like rooms with a theme: Sea World, Country Dreamland, African Safari, Betty Boop Room,  Victoria Kitty and Noah's Ark. They feature ceramic tile floors, beds, area rugs, ceiling fans, tempered glass front door, window and even its own radio tuned to their listening pleasure. ROOM SERVICE At Almost Home Pet Resort, we feed a premium high quality chicken/rice dry food mixed with a little canned chicken. If your pet requires a specific diet or you want us to continue with their own diet, simply bring the food along with your pet. We will be happy to serve it at no extra charge. Your pet will be fed once or twice daily, puppies and kittens 2-3 times daily. Heartworm medicine and vitamins that you provide us with will be administered at feeding times. If your pet is prescribed additional medicines by a veterinarian, we will administer that medicine as well, however, an additional charge may apply.

BOARDING FOR BIRDS, AND OTHER SMALL HOUSE PETS

At ALMOST HOME PET RESORT, we also accommodate our feathered friends in a separate airy, tropically designed aviary.  Please bring your bird(s) in their own cage, and provide the appropriate diet.  We will be happy to care for them from Canaries to Macaws!

In addition, we can safely house your rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, turtles, and even fish when you bring their housing structures and diet!  We have even been known to house a pot-bellied pig or two and an iguana named “Tequila”!  But please, no venomous reptiles, snakes or tarantulas!
